Vadim Burciu
|
Mr. Burciu was born
in 1976 in Moldova. He graduated from the Chisinau
Academi of Dance in 1995 and began working in
Chisinau National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. In
2001, he was awarded a diploma at the International
Ballet Competition in Constanta, Romania. Mr.
Burciu worked with Carolina Ballet Company
from 2005 to 2007. He has toured in Spain, Italy, Germany,
Holland, Scandinavia, Greece, and Switzerland. His
repertoire includes Pas de deux (Giselle), Pas de
deux (Corsare), James (Silfida), Harlequin (Swan
Lake), Blue Bird (Sleeping Beauty), and many
others. Mr. Burciu’s joined the Manassas Ballet
Theatre in 2007. |

Dina Fadeyeva |
Ms. Fadeyeva was born in Almaty,
Kazakhstan. She trained at the acclaimed Almaty
State Ballet Academy. Ms. Fadeyeva danced with the
Almaty State Theatre of Ballet and Opera from 1985 –
1989. In 1989, she went to Moscow, Russia to study
at the Gitis Academy of Arts where she studied under
Marina Semynova; she graduated in 1994. From 1993 –
1996, Ms. Fadeyeva taught at the Moscow Institute of
Contemporary Dance as well as being a guest artist
with many companies in Moscow. In 1996, Ms. Fadeyeva
went back to the Almaty State Ballet Academy to
continue her career in teaching as well as teaching
at the Almaty Institute of Contemporary Arts. In
2000, Ms. Fadeyeva participated in the International
Festival of Traditional Dance in Almaty and won the
Grand Prix. In addition, many of Ms. Fadeyeva’s
students won prizes in International Ballet
Competitions in Moscow, Budapest, Lausanne, and
elsewhere. In 2005, Ms. Fadeyeva choreographed her
own production. “Triumph of Athena” with music by
Mahler, for Almaty State Theatre of Ballet and
Opera. That same year, Ms. Fadeyeva came to the
United States. In 2006 Dina began taching at
Manassas Ballet Academy. Ms. Fadeyeva is also the
Ballet Mistress and Resident choreographer with
Manassas Ballet Theatre. |

Sara Gaydash |
Originally
from Ohio, Ms. Gaydash was recognized as “Gifted in
the Arts” and graduated as high school
Valedictorian. She has studied with Inna Stabrova,
Dmitry Tuboltsev, and Sergei Fokin, and was the
Junior Youth Grand Prix winner in Chicago in
2003.She received full scholarships to summer
programs such as the School of American Ballet and
American Ballet Theatre. This is her second year
with the Manassas Ballet Academy. Sara also dances
with Manassas Ballet Theatre. |

| Heather Hebda |
A native of Pittsburgh, Ms. Hebda
studied at Mercyhurst College in Erie,
Pennsylvania where she received her
Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in Arts
Administration. She also trained at Point Park
College in Pittsburgh; LaRoche College; Ballet Met
in Columbus, Ohio; Ballet Austin;
and the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet. Ms.
Hebda has worked as dance and ballet
instructor and choreographer at
Spacecoast Ballet, The Dancezone, and King Street
Dance in Florida. In addition, she has danced in
various dance teams and including appearances at
Cleveland Cavaliers NBA games. She dances with
Manassas Ballet Theatre. |

Amy Grant Wolfe |
Born
in Buffalo, New York, Mrs. Wolfe has danced since age 5.
She has a B.A. degree in Theatre (Summa cum Laude)
from Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland and a
M.F.A. in Dance from Southern Methodist University
where she twice received the Meadows Award as an
outstanding dance student and won the Betty Furguson
Award as Outstanding Graduate student. As a
professional dancer she has been a soloist with
Ballet Dallas, Ballet Midland, Irving Ballet,
Richardson Ballet, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet,
Southwest Dance Collective, Ohio Opera Company and
Berea Summer Theatre. After moving to Manassas in
1990 Amy became a teacher at the Manassas Ballet
Academy and a principal dancer with Manassas Ballet
Theatre. In 1997 Amy became Associate Director of
Manassas Ballet Theatre and helped lead the
expansion of the Company into a professional ballet
company. In 1999 Mrs. Wolfe became the Artistic Director of
Manassas Ballet Theatre. Under her
leadership Manassas Ballet Theatre has become the
largest performing arts organization in our
community. |
